As you may know, the changing of season brings a variety of changes to the golf course. With spring beginning, most golf courses will have already or will be aerating greens and toppdressing with sand. Understandably, golf course conditions become less than desireable for a period of approximately two weeks, but it is a necessary maintenance practice to keep greens healthy year after year. Also, as the temperatures warm up and warm season grasses (zoysia & fescue) begin to grow, we begin to see wear patterns on the grass where golf carts travel. One practice to help the golf course stay in great condition, is if you see certain areas on the golf course showing some wear patterns, please drive around them. Driving over the same area time and time again will result in possible desiccation of the grass resulting in reseeding and more maintenance causing an inconvenience to you the golfer. It is our goal to provide you with the best playing conditions within our control. Any assistance from you the golfer, will go a long way in contributing to a beautiful golf course.
Lastly, We have added some broken tee boxes on a variety of teeing areas. Please throw your broken tees in those boxes as often as you can. It will also greatly enhance our maintenance practices.
See you on the course! |
